At WrenchWorks Mechanical, we believe our customers should understand how they will be billed before work begins. Our goal is to provide professional, efficient service without unnecessary delays or unexpected labour charges.
Journeyman Plumber — $120/hour
Apprentice — $60/hour
Service Vehicle Charge — $60/visit
Minimum Labour Charge — 1.5 hours
For service work, billable time begins when our technician leaves the supplier, shop, or previous job within a reasonable travel distance and continues until the work is complete and the tools and materials are packed back into the service vehicle.
We maintain a well-stocked service vehicle and make every effort to arrive with the materials and equipment required to complete your work. This helps reduce unnecessary trips to suppliers and keeps your overall labour cost down.
WrenchWorks typically performs plumbing work with a journeyman plumber and apprentice working together.
Although two technicians means a higher combined hourly rate, many plumbing tasks can be completed significantly faster and more efficiently with a two-person crew. It also allows our journeyperson to focus on skilled work while appropriate supporting tasks are completed at the lower apprentice rate.
For small service calls that only require one technician, you will only be billed for one technician.
Commercial and institutional work is priced according to project scope, duration, manpower requirements, scheduling, and technical requirements.

Our focus is on arriving prepared, carrying a strong inventory of commonly required materials, using the appropriate level of tradesperson for each task, and completing work efficiently.
